The Assumption College English Program Curriculum is based on the Thai Ministry of Education Primary School Curriculum.
By the end of each level (Grades 1-3 and Grades 4-6) EP students will have learned exactly the same content as students studying in regular Thai classes.
The EP Curriculum for Mathematics, Science, Health, PE and Computers are direct English translations of the Thai Ministry of Education Primary School Curriculum for these subjects.
The EP English Curriculum has been written by EP staff specifically for EP students. The Curriculum is based on the Singapore Primary School English Curriculum, with influences from Australia and England. The EP English Curriculum extends our students who become highly capable users of English as they progress through the Grades.
For English, Mathematics and Health, EP classes use textbooks that are carefully selected from abroad. These textbooks are sometimes supplemented with worksheets made by teachers to suit the exact needs of EP students.
For Science, Grade 2-6 EP classes use Textbooks published by Assumption College English Program. The books have been produced because the Thai Science Curriculum is approximately two years ahead of Primary School Science Curriculum documents in western countries. They are divided into Units containing information written at Assumption College EP students’ English level. Some of the activities in each unit involve experiments.
The Assumption College EP Science textbooks are greatly envied by other schools that face similar problems in finding suitable books for their EP students to use
